Assistant Director

Florence is a queer theatre maker, director and facilitator and Artistic Director of Zoo Co. Zoo Co is an award-winning, internationally touring ensemble, making indoor and outdoor work for venues including Greenwich Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Latitude, Watford Palace, Komunitas Salihara (Jakarta), mac Birmingham & other UK venues.

Previous work with Zoo Co includes Monotone Man, The Girl Who Fell in Love With The Moon, GIANT, and Groombridge’s Place ‘Enchanted Forest’ immersive experience. Zoo’s debut show ‘The Hive’ won the Les Enfants Terribles Award 2014, enabling the company to go to Edinburgh Fringe with The Pleasance for the first time.

Florence is currently developing ‘Perfect Show For Rachel’, in association with Improbable and New Diorama, collaborating with her severely learning disabled sister exploring how to make rehearsal rooms and performances fantastically accessible for neurodiverse people. Zoo Co are currently developing ‘Sirens’, a feminist rebellion against gender expectations.
