Christa Harris


Christa was the recipient of the regional Leverhulme Arts Scholarship for the Birmingham REP with the JMK Trust in 2015. She has undergone director training with Tamasha Developing Artists on their co-production of Blood, as well as being mentored by Michael Buffong (Talawa) for Actorshop’s New Visions. She studied English Literature and Drama at the University of Birmingham.

Directing credits include Twelfth Night (RSC Open Stages); BRICK (Birmingham REP); Secrets (Hackney Empire); 139 Copeland Road which won a SCAREcon award (Peckham Safehouses); The Streets (Arcola YT) and most recently, FREAK by Anna Jordan (The Space) with her own company VOLTA.

Assistant and Associate credits include: The Game’s Afoot and The Sherlock Holmes Experience (Les Enfants Terribles); Kiss Me Quickstep (New Vic Theatre; The Stephen Joseph Theatre; The Oldham Coliseum); Only on Sundays, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (Birmingham REP); A Third (Finborough Theatre).
